Malware (short for malicious software), computer viruses (a computer program that can copy itself and infect a computer), worms (a self-replicating computer program), trojan horses (sometimes referred as trojans, is non-self-replicating malware that appears to perform a desirable function for the user but instead facilitates unauthorized access to the user's computer system), all do damage to a victim computer's operating system, software and at times real physical damage to computer hardware.

 

By using antivirus sofware approaches we can halt the spread of virus damage and in many instances "heal"/repair some of the files/software affected.

 

Other times, when damage is more deeper and has caused moderate amounts of damage to the Windows System Registry, we can replace/repair the damaged software portions to get your computer back to nearly the state it was in prior to any virus damage.

 

In extreme cases, where multiple viruses, worms, trojans and other malicious software has "infested" a computer, we may still be able to "harvest"/save important user data such as emails, personal documents, photos, videos, musics, etc. and then will do a "factory based" system recovery that involves doing "deep core", complete and thorough hardware/software rebuilding back to factory specifications.

Then any "harvested" user data is "scrubbed clean" of viruses/maliscious (malware) software through a series of multiple "industrial strength" virus "search and destroy" scans. Once it is certified that the "harvested" user data is of any viruses, malware and/or errors, it is placed onto the newly recovered/rebuilt computer system.
